After the fight

After the fight I wished that you were there.

After the fight, I wished that you cuddled me,

That I could find solace in your warm embrace,

That you whispered in my ear that I’ll be fine,

That you’d make love to me sweetly,

Your kisses a balm on the bruises of my heart.

After the fight I wished that you were there,

But you were not

The lack of you added sorrow to my misery

So, I withdrawal to lick my wounds.

So, I placate a smile on my face.

So, I pretended to be fine.

After the fight I wanted you

Not him

But still, I love him,

And you.
